Interdata has successfully deploy an enterprise scale implementation of Microsoft Dynamic NAV on Financial and Supply Chain functionalities in PT Niaga Merapi. Interdata has successfully deploy an enterprise scale implementation of Microsoft Dynamic NAV on Financial and Supply Chain functionalities in PT Niaga Merapi. First, the company use a partial portion of NAV and many functions and features of NAV is not being used. InterData carry out a quick survey and analysis on business process, and come out an optimization scheme to be implemented in the company. InterData has improved serveral procedures in accounting, purchasing, and inventory control. InterData trains the users with system concept and hands-on, enabling the company activates and taking benefits of full functionalities in Microsoft Dynamics NAV - Financial Management. Later then, InterData implement the manufacturing module in the company, and resulting a lot of efficiency and productivity, proven by shorten time of process, faster handling time on several procedures, less paperworks exchanged among division, and several achievement based on success criteria which has been preset by all parties prior to the project run. Background: This company is wholly owned by Decorize Inc., Springfield, USA - which is doing business on Manufacturing and Large exporter of furniture commodities to US and Europe. The company does special artwork finishing of furniture for selling by export to Decorize, Inc. PT Niaga Merapi has 2 workshop sites, where situated near by. The administration and management office is situated in Jl Ringroad Barat, Cambahan Nogotirgo Gamping, Jogjakarta. Situation: PT Niaga Merapi has had a Microsoft Dynamics NAV package installed under license owned by Decorize Inc. PT Niaga Merapi is using a leashed line connection to access Microsoft Dynamics NAV from head office server in USA, and working a remote desktop for accessing Microsoft Dynamics Microsoft Dynamics NAV. PT Niaga Merapi operates all Financial Management areas – including GL, Cash Management, Receivables and Payables, Sales Management, Purchase Management, and Inventory with multiple locations. PT Niaga Merapi has numbers of Microsoft Dynamics NAV users who are never receiving training, therefore the utilization of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is not optimum, and cannot achieve an effective level. Since the Microsoft Dynamics NAV database server and application is installed in Decorize office, therefore PT Niaga Merapi accessing the application using leashed line connection. This approach is not optimal, as most of transaction will fail and cannot update the Microsoft Dynamics NAV server in Decorize and inputting transactions will be very slow. PT Niaga Merapi has a manufacturing unit, however the manufacturing module in Microsoft Dynamics NAV is not available. Project Objectives The objective of the project are: • Hold comprehensive training and hands-on on Microsoft Dynamics NAV operation to PT Niaga Merapi users. • Implementing Manufacturing module using Microsoft Dynamics NAV in PT Niaga Merapi production. • Carry out specific customization / development task for head quarter, Springfield site. Benefits: Better and tighter control on material planning and procedures. Production planning, capacity scheduling and MRP. Production output monitoring; i.e. a method for recording output quantity from production floor, delivered to warehouse, and ready for shipment. Control in stuffing and loading finished furniture onto trucks to deliver to warehouse.
